Physician Assistants

Physician Assistants (PAs), under a physician's supervision, perform many patient care tasks, which were traditionally conducted by physicians. They deliver a broad range of medical and surgical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments including suturing, casting and minor surgery; monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting in surgery, and counseling and educating patients.
