Prospective High School Students

Are you graduating high school
and interested in attending Colorado State University?
Here are a few helpful resources and links to guide you:

Major: 
Students should select a major because they are interested in that subject and because it provides a good “plan B” for alternative careers (in case they change their minds or are not admitted to a graduate veterinary or human health profession program).

Admissions:  
A student who is interested in veterinary medicine or a human health profession applies to CSU in exactly the same way any other student applies. There is no special admissions process for students interested in becoming "pre-med," "pre-vet," etc. All general questions should be directed to the Admissions Office at (970) 491-6909 or by email admissions@colostate.edu.
 
Financial Aid:  
Financial Aid questions should be directed to the Financial Services Office at (970) 491-6321.

The Honors Program:

Orientation: 
Most students will register for fall courses when they attend one of our summer orientation sessions called "Preview": www.orientation.colostate.edu/first-year. This information will be sent to every student who confirms acceptance of their admission offer from CSU. You should select as early a Preview date as possible: This will give you the widest selection of courses. Students who live outside the state of Colorado may register from home and will need to contact their major advisor and arrange a phone appointment ("remote advising") to discuss how the registration process works and which classes to register for.  Students who take advantage of this remote advising option will not be able to register until the middle of Preview, and should be aware that high demand courses may be full by that time.
 
Visit CSU: 
If you would like to visit Colorado State University, you may be interested in one or more of the following:
  • General Campus Tour conducted by the Admissions Office (970) 491-6909.
  • A tour of the Veterinary Medical Center. These are conducted on M, W and F from 4:00-5:00 and  a reservation is mandatory: Please call (970) 297-1269.

  • Linda Stoddard – Pre-Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Pharmacy, and students who would like to explore several areas of HP.
